Ad Item is an entity that contains main information about a creative and links it to a particular profile. Ad Item is created automatically when you add or link a creative and can be edited on the profile blade. It allows to change the link state, creative rotation priority, to set targeting and event tracking.
How to add creatives to a profile:
When the Ad Items are added into the Profile you can see them in the Linked Creatives section of the Profile blade.
Shows the connection between a creative and a profile. You can change it in the Ad Item settings at anytime.
Shows the current state of a creative. Check more information on the Creative page.
Shows at what validation stage the creative is currently, according to the Creative Acceptance Policy. Displayed as an icon with a letter A (Approved), P (Pending), or R (Rejected).
Cost for a thousand impressions.
Use a context menu to start/stop the link of the creative to the current profile, edit a creative or Ad Item.
The blade of an Ad Item will be opened as soon as you add or link a creative to a profile. Or you can open it via its Edit option on the profile’s blade.
As you can link one creative to several profiles, the Ad Item allows you to adjust ad delivery for each of them.
Whether an ad will be served depends on the link state (for more info, check Creative).
Note that after Ad Item is created, the default link state is Stopped. Activate it so the creative will be delivered to users.
By default, the landing page URL in Ad Item is the one that you entered in the field Main Landing Page URL when adding a creative. You can change the type and landing page URL for each Ad Item in a profile. Select different landing pages if you, for example, target ads on different regions. Alternative URLs are URLs that you added in a landing page URL list when adding a creative.
The rotation priority shows the priority level of a creative towards other creatives in a profile.
Press Download to download a creative to your computer. Check how your creative will look on a website with the Preview option. It will then display your creative on the platform’s demo page. Use settings on the demo page (top right corner) to check how a creative will show on sites with different layouts.
The Live preview option allows you to see how a creative will be displayed on a real web page.
Third-party trackers are used to count events (clicks, impressions, viewable impressions, etc.). To set Event tracking, enter a link to a third-party system or an external ID specified in a banner’s code in the respective field.

For the tracker to work properly, the link to be tracked is encoded by the system. After saving the event tracking settings, the tracker will look like this:

One profile can have several creatives, but some of them may not render correctly in some browsers or on operating systems. To avoid it, we added respective targeting in Ad Item (they remain in the profile).
Apart from profile’s targeting, set targeting in Ad Items for each creative too. It’ll improve the efficiency of your ad campaign.
