Setting Up Global BidSwitch SSP Settings

The BidSwitch (BS) SSP integration module enables RTB-Stack users to connect to the platform and access the global programmatic advertising ecosystem. This integration provides access to an extensive network of supply partners. It ensures easy setup, a transparent bidding process, and support for core SSP features. By configuring global BidSwitch settings, you can streamline inventory management, boost operational efficiency, and optimize demand delivery. These settings establish default rules and priorities for all BidSwitch SSP integrations. For tailored configurations, individual SSPs or endpoints can be customized.

Configuring BidSwitch Settings

To access Global BidSwitch settings, navigate to SettingsPlatform SettingsMarketplaces. Then select the BidSwitch tab and click the Edit button to open the configuration window.

Main Settings:

These default settings apply to all BidSwitch SSPs. Billing numbers, NET Terms, Default Currency will be the same for all BS SSPs, while Impression Expiry Time will be uniform for all BS Endpoints.:

  • Billing Numbers (required): Define the entity responsible for billing. Options include your organization ([Your Account Name]) or a Partner.
  • NET Terms (required): Choose payment terms (e.g., NET 15, 30, 45, 60, or 90 days), indicating the payment window post-invoice issuance.
  • Default Currency (required): Set a default currency for transactions when a currency parameter (BidRequest.cur) isn’t specified in the request.
  • Impressions Expiry Time (required): Specify the expiration period for an impression. If processed after this time, the impression is marked as expired. The value entered can be either an integer or a fractional number that is greater than 0. Default: 1800 seconds.
  • BidSwitch Seat ID: Enter the BS ID if the Single Seat Response is configured in the BidSwitch UI. If left blank, DSP IDs will serve as seat values by default. Learn more in the Agency Seat - BidSwitch Documentation.
  • Endpoint URLs: Enter the appropriate endpoint URLs in the BidSwitch account, selecting the data center closest to your SSP partner to minimize latency.
  • QPS Limit (required): Define a Queries Per Second limit (integer greater than 0). This value is part of the total traffic cap outlined in your RTB-Stack contract and will be shared across all BidSwitch SSPs.

Inventory Filters

Inventory filters, part of the global settings, serve as high-priority filters, applied across the entire platform to refine incoming traffic. By setting them once, you ensure consistent filtering for all traffic. Inventory filters allow you to refine incoming traffic by using logical operators and black/white-list functionalities.

  • Why use filters? To eliminate non-performing requests and optimize server capacity for high-quality inventory.
  • How to set filters? Filters can be manually configured or uploaded as a pre-prepared file for consistency across the platform.

Refer to the documentation for a detailed explanation of filter types and their logic.

Demand Rules

As part of the global settings, demand rules serve as high-priority controls, ensuring consistent management for all bids from all demand partners. By setting them once, you can effectively control which types of demand are allowed or restricted.

  • Key functionality: Similar to inventory filters, demand rules use logic operations and black/white-listing.
  • Setup: Rules can be applied manually or via uploaded configuration files for platform-wide consistency.

Refer to the documentation for additional details on demand rule logic.
