In the RTB-Stack platform, commission settings prioritize different levels of control to maximize revenue and flexibility for various combinations of inventory and demand. The commission hierarchy is organized as follows:
DSP Commission (highest priority)
DSP Commissions, when applied, take precedence over all other commission settings. This enables maximum control over profit margins for each DSP, allowing for custom rates to be set on a per-DSP basis if needed.
Custom Endpoint-Profile Commission
Endpoint-Profile commissions allow you to assign specific rates to particular combinations of endpoints and profiles. When set, these custom commissions override any Package or SSP-level commissions, ensuring that precise, high-priority rates are used for selected inventory-demand pairs.
Package Commission
Package commissions provide a way to set a commission rate that applies to a bundle of endpoints grouped together within a package. This commission overrides the Base Commission set at the SSP level for all linked endpoints within the package.
SSP Commission (Base Commission)
The Base Commission set on the SSP level represents the minimum guaranteed commission included in the Bidfloor parameter. While this is the default rate for an SSP, it has the lowest priority in the commission hierarchy.
By following this priority structure, the RTB-Stack platform ensures that the most specific and customized commission settings are applied, allowing for optimized control and maximized revenue across different inventory and demand sources.
